A. Statutory Authority

Under 18 U.S.C. § 3563(b)(23), the court might provide that the defendant, “if necessary to register underneath the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, submit his person, and any home, household, residence, car, documents, computer, other electronic interaction or data storage space products or news, and results to look at any moment, with or without having a warrant, by any law enforcement or probation officer with reasonable suspicion concerning a breach of a disorder of probation or unlawful conduct by the individual, and also by any probation officer within the legal release for the officer’s supervision functions.”
